Last updated October 20, 2026. Dates are the confirmed ex-dividend dates of past payments, taken from public price-history data.

How to use this table

The pattern column shows how often a name has paid over the last twelve months, and the previous dates show the usual timing of each payment. Companies announce the next ex-dividend date a few weeks ahead, so this page does not guess it: confirm the upcoming date on the company’s investor relations page or with your broker before you trade around it.

The dates that matter

You receive a dividend only if you own the shares before the ex-dividend date. Buying on or after that date means the seller keeps the payment. The record date is the day the company checks its list of shareholders, and since most U.S. stocks moved to one-day settlement in May 2024, the ex-dividend date and the record date generally fall on the same day. The payment date, when the cash arrives, comes later, often by a few weeks.

What happens to the price

All else equal, a stock tends to open lower on the ex-dividend date by roughly the amount of the dividend, because the cash leaves the company. A dividend is therefore not free money: the payout is offset by the price adjustment, and normal market moves can easily be larger than the dividend itself. Dividend yield is the annual dividend per share divided by the share price, and it changes whenever the price changes.

Dividends and options

Owning a call option does not entitle you to the dividend. Option prices reflect expected dividends, and a short in-the-money call can be assigned early around the ex-dividend date, most often when the dividend is larger than the time value left in the option. If you sell calls against shares or hold short calls in a dividend-paying name, check the ex-dividend date before the contract nears the money. The articles on assignment risk and covered calls explain the mechanics.

Dividend amounts and dates come from public price-history data, can be revised, and are not a recommendation to buy or sell. Tax treatment of dividends varies, so ask a tax professional. Trading involves risk of loss.
